INVENTORY CONTROLLER (STOKE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Inventory team and make an immediate contribution to our business.

 

Reporting to the Inventory Manager you will be accountable for all stock in designated categories. Maintain stock levels to agreed weeks cover and within overall financial and volume target level. Manage timely and quantified input to Line Flows, WSSI, OTB and KPI’s making recommendations and taking appropriate action as required. Ensure optimum stock availability to deliver the Trading Plan, informing senior management of supply chain issues and factors affecting continuity of supply.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Analyse and review stock, sales and intake position at line, category and branch level
  • Place PO’s to agreed lead times ensuring optimum stock level within budget
  • Review daily/weekly Inventory KPI’s – present a summary to management team reporting on exceptions, highlighting issues/risks and proposing remedial action
  • Manage branch stock profiles in line with sales and capacity plan
  • Monitor supplier performance, track conformance to SLA’s and take action to enforce appropriate level of performance
  • Produce weekly analysis and reports
  • Manage the Critical Path process, track milestones and resolve issues
  • Build strong and successful working relationships with suppliers and internal departments

 

Skills Required:

  • Inventory planning and management across UK, EU and FE sources
  • Working knowledge of Line Flows, WSSI and OTB processes
  • Thorough understanding of all inventory performance KPI’s
  • Experience of developing and managing the Critical Path
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A problem solver and team player also able to use initiative
  • Excellent MS Outlook and Excel skills
