SAP Business One Support Analyst (Stoke)

 

Working with our current IS team to help us to develop and expand our use of the system whilst liaising with our warehouse, transport and administration functions to understand the day to day challenges that they face whilst offering business relevant solutions.  

 

The successful person will need to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and have at least 3- 5 years experience gained in a distribution setting.  You will have SAP certification, SAP BW experience and understand warehouse management systems. 

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Sit within the IT team and work closely alongside your colleagues.
  • Offer internal support to end users of SAP Modules used within the organisation.
  • Manage day-to-day activities based on SAP end user environment and resolve any in-house issues that may arise.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ensure support and development tasks are delivered to strict deadlines.
  • Ongoing projects that will support and benefit the organisation as a whole.

 

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Helpdesk function to resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner for around 80 users.
  • Managing user access for new starters and leavers.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, Idocs/Batch files/PI-PO.
  • Ensuring that the businesses are kept informed of any issues and issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Thorough understanding of the SD, MM module FM.
  • SAP configuration skills and interfacing knowledge with warehouse management systems particularly Accellos.
  • To understand and work to the ITIL guidelines for incident and request handling.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Working with users to test, develop and improve the system.
  • Documentation and maintain SAP system standards and procedures.
  • Review and challenge existing tasks and processes with a view to reducing risk and increasing efficiency.

 

Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of the SAP Business One system, modules and processes.
  • Dealing with wide breath of business users on a regular basis including senior management.
  • Dealing with training request and general enquiries and providing business advice.
  • Able to show experience in fault finding and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self starter with exceptional problem solving ability.
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Understanding business requirements and working to achieve their aims.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
