Meyer stock an extensive and exclusive range of Chinese plywood panels.

Our stock profile is split into four clear and distinct ranges, Meyer: Trade, Commercial, Classic and Premium. Each tailored and designed to match specific end use applications and price points. 

We work closely with each individual part of the supply chain in China, to ensure the quality and legality of all our products. All products are regulated by the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and have a Meyer Declaration of Performance (DoP) available.

Meyer Trade Plywood

Meyer Trade is the entry level board in the range. The core is constructed entirely of reclaimed material and supplied with face and back veneer from either Engineered Veneer (EV) or Radiata Pine.

It has been designed for those that need a basic plywood board for projects and jobs which are not considered a constructional application.

Typical uses would include, non-construction applications such as furniture, lightweight packing cases, interior fittings in caravans and motorhomes and exhibition stands.

No structural claims are made on the panel.

Meyer Commercial Plywood

Meyer Commercial is the internal board in the range. The core is constructed of Chinese poplar, although there is one combi-core variant incorporating eucalyptus veneers adding additional strength while retaining flexibility.

Meyer Commercial meets the criteria of EN636-1 and comes with an EN314 Bond Class 1. It is suitable for dry interior uses in Regulated Building Work.

Thicknesses of 9mm and greater have been tested for their strength, and mechanical values are listed on the DoP. Typical uses might include wall lining or floor decking, where there is no risk of water ingress or high humidity during the life of the building. Uses must be restricted to EN335 Use Class 1.

Thicknesses of 3.6 and 5.5mm have not been tested for their strength and no mechanical values can be given for them. Typical uses would include internal linings and trim in dry interior situations only.

The boards are available in both FSC & Non-FSC options.

Meyer Classic Plywood

Meyer Classic is the flagship product in the Meyer range. Constructed from a Phenolic glue-line, sourced from Dynea Beijing, A/B grade poplar core veneers and FSC Red Grandis Eucalyptus faces.

Meyer Classic meets the criteria of EN636-2 and comes with an EN314 Bond Class 3. It is suitable for all uses in Regulated Construction Work. uses could be in humid situations or those that incur occasional wetting. With the quality of the bond giving added reassurance.

Thicknesses of 9mm and greater have been tested for their strength, and mechanical values are listed on the DoP. Typical uses might include flooring, wall sheathing and shop fitting where there is a risk of high humidity during the life of the building.

Thicknesses of 3.6 and 5.5mm have not been tested for their strength and no mechanical values can be given for them. Typical uses would include internal linings and trim where there is a risk of high humidity during the life of the building.

The boards are available in both FSC and Non-FSC face veneer options.

Meyer Premium Plywood

Meyer Premium is constructed of a core based entirely of eucalyptus, giving it greater density and strength ratings, along with higher durability than poplar. The increased durability gives higher resistance to fungal attack.

The Premium Range is manufactured with an EN314 Bond Class 2, and suitable for all uses in Regulated Construction Work, but not exposure to weather. Uses could be in  humid situations, or those that incur occasional wetting.

Thicknesses of 9mm and greater have been tested for their strength, and mechanical values are listed on the DoP. Typical uses might include roof decking where there is risk of high humidity during the life of the building.

Thicknesses of 3.6 and 5.5mm have not been tested for their strength and no mechanical values can be given for them. Typical uses would include internal linings and trim where there is the risk of high humidity during the life of the building. These thinner panels would be suitable for van lining and portable building, where weight and strength are major considerations.

The boards are available in both FSC and Non-FSC face veneer options.
